It’s Time to Become Part of the Growing Integrative Health Care Industry.

It’s time to become part of the growing integrative health care industry.  Whether you are a nurse looking to expand upon your Western medical training, a massage therapist wanting to provide clients with the benefits of acupuncture or someone who has experienced the healing of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s time to pursue your Master’s in Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine (EWCNM).

What if healthcare providers cared about you like family instead of viewing you as just another patient

What if healthcare providers cared about you like family instead of viewing you as just another patient? If you grow anxious at the thought of going to the doctor's office, all of us here at East West College of Natural Medicine's Student Clinic are here to help. Our student interns, supervised by highly skilled acupuncture physicians, provide treatments for many ailments using both Oriental healing techniques and modern Western medicine practices. "Miss Nellie" is one of many regular patients who has found comfort here at our clinic.

Unsure if acupuncture is still relevant?

Are you unsure if acupuncture is still relevant given recent advancements in healthcare? Our school has focused on Eastern medicine for the past twenty-five years because we see the benefits in natural healing. However, we are pleased that more and more medical institutions are incorporating Eastern procedures such as acupuncture into their practices. The following excerpt from the University of California, San Diego's website highlights the importance of acupuncture in modern medicine:

Acupuncture Demystified

Acupuncture Demystified
For decades since the appearance of acupuncture in the United States, there has been a bit of a language barrier between eastern and western medical practitioners.  It is important to note that the reason for this is that Asian medicine based their concepts, principles, techniques and pathologies on their views of the world, their culture and things found in nature.  Thereby when they spoke of disease, pathogenic influences or imbalances within the body, their terminology didn’t exactly match with that of western-trained practitioners.

EWCNM Clinic Testimonial

Head of Sarasota County's Nurturing Dads program. Sunday school teacher. Jack Baker led a busy lifestyle, but one thing complicated his daily activities: optic atrophy. Responsible for impairing his vision, this rare condition has no cure. Fortunately, East West College of Natural Medicine was prepared to lend assistance.

Congratulations Graduates

Congratulations to EWCNM students and graduates.   You did it again!  You beat the national average on three of the required national board exams with passage rates of 85% and above.  You are to be commended for your hard work and great study habits.  In addition, let’s hear it for the faculty at EWCNM who helped prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel.
At EWCNM we are proud of our hard-working students and dedicated staff and faculty.  Preparing tomorrow’s acupuncture physicians takes team work and we are excited with the results.

Do you know what's causing your unhappiness?
Do you ever judge yourself too harshly? I do. In fact, many of us do without realizing it. Even when your friends say that you are a superstar, you may feel deep inside that it's not true. Over time, this could lead to you becoming pessimistic without understanding why.

Mindfulness. It's a pretty straightforward concept. Your mind is focused on the present task without allowing distractions to impede your progress. All too often, we veer from the matter at hand. Once your mind has taken flight, you could become engrossed in obsessive thoughts over an event that just happened or may take place in the future. It is this anxiety that prevents us from enacting positive change in our lives.
