About

The programs

The East West College of Natural Medicine (EWCNM) was established in 1994 as the Academy of Chinese Healing Artsto provide training in the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Located on the southwestern coast of Florida in Sarasota, the program now attracts students from around the country and the world for their Master of Science in Oriental Medicine program and their recently added massage therapy program.

EWCNM houses one of the finest Oriental medicine facilities in the United States. The curriculum for the Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) program is highly regarded and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

The Massage Therapy program, added in 2016, offers students career preparation for the massage field in less than a year. Both programs are taught by exceptional and experienced faculty in an intimate and nurturing environment. Students enjoy hands-on learning and an externship in a professional environment is part of the curriculum.

The campus

Located on over two acres in Sarasota, Florida, the College resides in a two story, 14,000 sq. foot building that includes academic, clinic and administrative facilities. With high ceilings, large aquariums and a spacious open layout, students and patients are greeted with a nurturing yet professional environment. By applying the principles of Feng Shui, the building naturally provides a calm and peaceful atmosphere in which to learn. The College has four large classrooms that can be expanded to hold seminars for up to 120 people. There is ample on-site parking for our staff, students and patients. The East West College of Natural Medicine is located on “college row’ with three other leading universities.

In addition to our spacious classrooms, students may gather in the student lounge for meals and socialization. With a casual atmosphere the arrangement is ideal for special student events and adjoins a multi-use room that is available for Tai Chi, yoga and recreation. Food service is not currently available, however, basic kitchen facilities are provided for student use.
